SDIA attending panel discussion at Digitale Energiewelt Berlin

The energy sector is increasingly aware of the importance of digital technology in maintaining & improving their processes. This is especially pertinent to the challenges of the energy transition. The "Digitale Energiewelt" (Digital Energy World) conference in Berlin is the yearly event at which current digital topics, significant to the energy world, are presented and discussed.

This year, on the 5th of December 2019, the Sustainable Digital Infrastructure Alliance e.V. had the honor of participating at this event and showcasing a different angle on the relation between energy and digitalization.

Attending the session "Power2Data", we discussed the challenge of making the underlying digital infrastructure sustainable. This included issues around energy consumption, waste heat, server utilization, green power supply, challenges for the data center operator and many more. We thank the representatives of several industries for participating in this lively debate and thank Digitale Energiewelt Berlin for inviting us.
