The Centre of FinTech at the University of East London has been created with the aim of building a pipeline of FinTech talent that ultimately facilitates the global digital economy and will work in collaboration with a number of industry partners who are part of the Strategic Development Board of the Centre. 

The Centre has the capability to lead the way with the transformations in the sector and facilitate the process of making East London the Silicon Valley of Europe. With the aim to be a hub for all aspects of FinTech research, the Centre seeks to fulfil this mandate through:

• Engaging in outstanding and impactful research,
• Building a pipeline of FinTech talents,
• Engaging with the industry to deliver solutions to challenges in financial services and working on projects of commercial relevance,
• Working in collaboration with our industry partners, part of the Strategic Development Board of the Centre,
• And providing direction, through evidence-based research, on the policy and regulatory framework needed to facilitate continued growth in the industry.
