As the Sustainable Digital Infrastructure Alliance (SDIA) - through our roadmap, we have been committed to promoting sustainable and regional digital infrastructure across the Netherlands and Europe at large. Our mission is to foster transparency, enhance competitiveness, and embed sustainability within digital infrastructure. Through our initiatives, we aim to create a resilient, efficient, and environmentally responsible market for digital infrastructure that benefits regional businesses, communities, and the environment.
As part of this effort, we are conducting a survey to gather insights on the current state of IT procurement practices, focusing on sustainability and the use of regional IT providers. Our goal is to identify why regional providers are often overlooked and what is needed to foster a more diverse, competitive, and transparent market. The survey seeks to understand the challenges and opportunities within the market, aiming to inform future policies to support the growth of sustainable digital infrastructure.
The survey collects data on several key aspects:
- Purchasing Preferences:Â How organizations currently purchase their IT infrastructure and the extent to which they use regional versus global providers.
- Sustainability Requirements:Â The types of sustainability criteria organizations demand from their IT and cloud infrastructure suppliers.
- Drivers of Sustainable Procurement:Â The motivations behind adopting sustainable procurement practices, whether driven by regulatory pressure, external or internal demands, or organizational initiatives.
- Market Barriers:Â The challenges and barriers organizations face when considering regional IT and cloud infrastructure providers.
Your insights are crucial to understanding the current landscape and shaping the future of sustainable IT infrastructure. Please take a moment to participate in the survey.
